First and only printing in 1952 at 2/6d.
This set has been known to turn up in a plain brown paper band with the title and price typewritten. This brown paper band edition is the true first edition and is the emergency packaging for April 1952. It was used in order to get the set on display at the Model Railway Exhibition in London when supply of wrappers had not arrived.

The cards were available separately, just as the cards of set "X", but at the higher price of 5d per card.

No significant stocks passed on to Broadway Approvals and was never catalogued by them.

The set contains eight models:
Card 1 - two GER Coaches including a Brake
Card 2 - MR Composite
Card 3 - GWR 6 wheel 1st and 3rd Composite
Card 4 - L&SWR Restaurant Car
Card 5 - LNWR Composite
Card 6 - two LBSC 4 wheeled Coaches including a brake

This set greatly compliments the PG series of locomotives.
It has more flexibility than set "X", but is still open to criticism over the lack of Brake Ends for all the Regions.
